Kings County Academy is a primary to grade eight school located in Kentville, Nova Scotia and is part of the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board. In addition to the regular elementary and junior high course offering, KCA offers a French Immersion programme inclusive of grades primary to grade 8. The school has a total enrollment of approximately 614 students and 70 staff members serving the needs of its students. Upon completing grade eight, students leaving KCA attend Northeast Kings Education Center in Canning.

KCA has a long history and a strong community base.

KCA is also a PEBS (Positive, Effective, Behavior Support) School. This means we identify and clearly communicate to students what positive behavior expectations are and support them in meeting these expectations. Our Safe Arrival program is now up and running but we are in need of a few more volunteers, particularly on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  If you are interested please contact Kelly Hockley at 902-678-3573 for more information.


This campaign is underway and all students have received order forms.  Orders are due in on Monday, October 6th.




P-3 Trail Blazers Program

If your child is attending the TOK Trail Blazers program on Tuesdays starting on Oct. 7(please see the community events tab for further information) please make sure you write a note to your child's teacher indicating this. This will alleviate any confusion at dismissal time.
